About The Learning Nest
At The Learning Nest, we are a privately owned and operated centre. Although we are licensed for up to 40 children, we choose to accommodate approximately 30 children, an approach to ensure a personalised and enriching experience for each child. Having low numbers allows us to provide for more one on one care and learning moments.
Our centre features:
Two indoor learning spaces
Keas
(for children approximately under 2.5 years)
Kakapo
(for children approximately over 2.5 years)
Shared outdoor play area
For all Keas and Kakapo.
Great learning opportunities
Community-focused
Our programme includes regular outings to local destinations like the museum, police station, and parks.
We provide a range of nutritious meals, including Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, and a Late Snack. Menus are updated daily on Storypark, our online learning platform to engage parents in their child’s daily activities. Nappies and lunchtime sunscreen application are also provided.
Guided by New Zealand’s Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whāriki, we offer a variety of learning opportunities throughout the day. Our special 4-year-old programme includes exciting community outings that foster a sense of belonging and exploration.
Why choose us?
